PROFESSIONAL AVIATION SCHOLARSHIPS
can help you follow your passion for flight

  • Official FAA Part 141 Certified Ground School - 30 hours of classroom instruction with Coast's licensed professional flight instructors
  • Class study materials and books
  • 1 hour of Flight simulator time
  • $500 value
  • Transportation to/from 10 class sessions conducted at Montgomery Field (Kearny Mesa)
  • High school Seniors or recent graduate
  • Candidates who have a passion for flight, travel, and hard work
  • Candidates who are highly motivated to go directly to a career path
  • US Citizen
  • Confirm that you can participate in 10 three-hour class sessions (Tuesdays 6-9 pm from January 17 - March 21, 6-9 pm)
  • NO application fee - application process is FREE
  • Applications must be received on or before December 1, 2016
  • Finalists will be notified on or before December 9, 2016.
  • If you are selected as a Finalist you will go through a 15-minute phone interview with a Coast representative. (phone interview will be scheduled at Finalist's convenience the week of December 12).
  • Finalists will be notified of Scholarship decision by December 31, 2016. Class enrollment information will be provided to Finalists at this point.
  • You must complete and return to Coast Flight by January 10, 2017.
  • Spring 2017 session begins Tuesday, January 17. The course will conclude March 21, 2017
  • April 4th 2017 the Grand Aviation Scholarship will be awarded to one lucky winner!
  • The winner must be able to attend flight school a minimum of 5 days. The training must be treated as a full time job.
