Military to Airline Pilot

Finding a career after military service and creating a financially stable future for yourself and your family may seem daunting when you first begin, but enrolling in the ACT Program can allow you to create a pathway to success in the commercial aviation industry. And with a shortage of qualified commercial pilots in the United States, the career opportunities for skilled veteran aviators with FAA-approved training are abundant. The Airline Career Training Program (ACT) offers associate's degrees with all the required ratings to become a full-time commercial pilot. As a VA-approved aviation training academy, Coast Flight only accepts candidates who successfully complete the ACT Program screening process. If you believe you qualify, now is an excellent time to consider whether this is the right training path for you to transition to a rewarding new career.

Coast Flight Training for Future Airline Pilots

Coast Flight's aviation career training offers a true career path that seamlessly bridges the gap from military service to commercial pilot with a variety of unique benefits. First, unlike any other program available, Coast Flight provides the opportunity to interview with SkyWest Airlines for a Conditional Offer of Employment before you even beginning your flight training. With the expertise of former Presidential Command Pilot LtCol Bryan W. Simmons, USMC (Ret.) as our Director of Flight Operations, Coast Flight offers an unrivaled military-based aviation training program.

Do You Qualify for the ACT Program?

The commercial flight industry is an ideal choice for many U.S. Military Veterans entering the civilian sector. Benefits are highly individualized, though, so we recommend that you speak with the Student Services Department to make sure you qualify. In general, veterans have 15 years from their last discharge to use their VA benefits to support flight school, and most VA benefit programs will support flight school (excluding VRAP).
