Coast Flight Training has created an all-inclusive, accelerated program that provides a clear pathway to becoming an airline pilot. Designed similarly to a military flight training school, Coast Academy was established to give students the structure and personalized attention to complete their training successfully.

Coast Flight Training in San Diego is proud to be a Platinum Certified Cirrus Training Center. Our students have the unique opportunity to train on premium aircraft made by Cirrus. After completing the Cirrus transition, our students have the ability to rent our SR-20 or SR-22T recreationally. If you're interested in purchasing your own plane, our Cirrus ownership specialist will help you plan for and locate the perfect aircraft for you. Our modern fleet of Cirrus aircraft, state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated staff aim to provide you with the best possible environment for succeeding in your flight training goals.

The Rotor Transition Program was the first of its kind, created by Coast to provide former helicopter pilots a clear pathway to working for the airlines. Developed by former military helicopter pilots, our Rotor Transition Program is designed to maximize your helicopter experience and streamline your training to get you to the airlines faster. Coast Flight Training has partnered with Envoy, SkyWest and Mesa airlines to provide financing for former helicopter pilots transitioning to fixed-wing aircraft. We collaborated with these airlines to offer a fully funded training option to rotor pilots. Coast has had the pleasure of graduating over 400 pilots in this program and is proud to have served those most deserving.

Coast Flight Training is proud to be a VA approved flight school. Our Part 141 curriculum allows you to utilize your GI Bill benefits for flight training. Coast is honored to be able to offer veterans a chance to use their VA benefits to become a pilot.

Our General Training program allows students the flexibility to train at their own pace and design their training around their goals and availability. This program was established to give students the opportunity to create their own training schedule while still following our Coast Training System. Students can train full time, part time, or have a varying schedule week to week. This guided program includes both in-person ground training, simulator training, and flight training lessons.
