Student Controller/Scheduler

  • Coast Flight Training & Management, Inc. is hiring a Full Time Flight Academy Student Controller/Scheduler, based at our San Diego, CA location. We are a fast-growing, recognized industry leading flight training company, with strong relationships at all levels of the aviation industry. We are looking for someone who is detailed oriented, has the ability to learn quickly and stay organized. Flight knowledge is a plus but not necessary. This is an Entry Level position.

  • JOB SUMMARY:

  • The Student Controller/Scheduler is responsible for the daily training schedule for our flight students and flight instructors, monitoring student's flight progress, overseeing student billing, in addition to other assigned duties.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Input, monitor and modify as necessary, schedule information into the computerized scheduling system and Calendar

  • Develop the daily schedule by following set processes, procedures and safety guidelines

  • Coordinate available resources and improve resource efficiency/utilization

  • Work with flight instructors on daily schedule requests and changes throughout the day

  • Develop the daily schedule based on student progress and course outlines

  • Set up students first indoctrination/orientation event, discuss documents, scheduling process and other topics, and answer questions in order to facilitate new students success

  • Manage students in terms of which resource they fly, which program they are in, and where they are at within their respected flight course

  • Meet or exceed daily scheduling targets

  • Compile reports as necessary

  • Communicate with Maintenance on resource availability

  • Charge student accounts after each lesson and monitor student account balances

  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required

  • SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently

  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma Required / Associates or Bachelor’s degree a plus

  • Must have good computer operating skills

  • (Full-Time) Monday-Friday $15.00/hr

Flight School Dispatcher (Part-Time)

Dallas, TX

  • We are a high-volume flight school located in Dallas, TX in need of a Part-Time Dispatcher to administer the front office and execute the daily flight schedule. Training will be provided. The positions may require evenings and weekends.

  • GENERAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Responsible for the execution of the daily flight schedule.

  • Makes necessary schedule adjustments to ensure the flight schedule is running efficiently.

  • Responsible to follow procedures in Coast’s management software (FSP) when checking-in and out aircrafts for student events.

  • Has the responsibility to correspond with the maintenance coordinator regarding aircraft discrepancies.

  • Answers incoming calls in a professional manner and take messages or directs calls to corresponding departments.

  • Greet students and visitors as soon as they arrive and connect them with the appropriate party.

  • Responsible to handle various types of payment for account balances as needed and follow procedures for reporting payments.

  • Copy, file and maintain paper or electronic documents according to instruction.

  • Maintain the professional atmosphere & aesthetics of the facility (operations, dispatch, briefing spaces, breakroom, restroom, etc.)

  • Reports any problems, including student-training difficulties, to the Operations Manager for resolution.

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Detailed oriented with strong written and spoken communication skills.Prefer office receptionist or similar experience related to customer service.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
