  • GENERAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Coordinate available resources and improve resource efficiency/utilization

  • Work with flight instructors on daily schedule requests and changes throughout the day

  • Develop the daily schedule based on student progress and course outlines

  • Compile reports as necessary

  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required

  • Manage each student in terms of which resource they fly, which program they are in, and where they are at within their respected flight course

  • Communicate with Maintenance on resource availability

  • Charge students after each lesson by their credit card on file or pulling from their account balance

  • Monitor student account balance to prevent accruing a negative balance

  • Set up the students first indoctrination/orientation event and discuss documents, scheduling process and other topics, and answer any questions in order to facilitate the new student’s success

  • The Scheduler will be corresponding with students daily, gathering each student’s schedule individually and inputting into their respected flight instructors schedule. The scheduler will also oversee the billing for each student after their lessons, create and organize student indoctrination program, collection of required student documents, and monitoring of student’s flight training progress.

  • AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Ensures that safety is consistently the first priority of Site Operations

  • Ensures that the entire operations team is aware of Coast’s mission, their specific goals, and performance goals.

  • Overall responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Flight Operations.

  • Has the authority to exercise operational control over all aircraft operations.

  • AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Under the direction of the Chief Flight Instructor, the Assistant Chief is responsible for:

  • Supervising student training to ensure compliance with federal aviation regulations

  • Instructor training and performance evaluations

  • Ensure that all students are progressing through the training course(s)

  • Work with the FAA to manage any required school tasks

  • Conduct student stage checks and evaluations per FAR 141 requirements
