Nautral High 12th Annual Sunset Splash Gala
“Coast Flight proudly sponsors and endorses all that “Natural High” stands for. We believe that aviation is a Natural High that all kids need to experience as they start to mold their lives, while not the only Natural High it is defiantly a really cool option! Please take a moment and read the below to learn more of this amazing organization!”
Natural High started in 1994 with a small gathering of friends, family and beach communities to raise awareness of the pitfalls of drugs and alcohol that are lying in wait for our young children. At the time, founder Jon Sundt had recently lost his only 2 brothers to drug abuse. Today, scary statistics show our youngsters are being swayed earlier and earlier to experiment with drugs and drinking. Natural High, with its rapid growth and growing support these last few years is now reaching millions of middle schoolers and teachers across the nation. Natural High is contagious!
On October 6, 2012, Natural High will host its 12th Annual Sunset Splash event. They are thrilled to announce that Bethany Hamilton has agreed to be the Honorary Spokesperson! In 2003, at the age of 13, she lost her left arm after a vicious shark attack. She overcame the injury to ultimately return to professional surfing. Bethany wrote about her experience in the 2004 autobiography Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board. In April 2011, the feature film Soul Surfer was released based on her book.
Natural High will also be honoring teachers and administrators in the trenches every day with our children who live the Natural High pledge and direct our children toward a Natural High life.
Everyone has their passions in life and the organizations that they choose to support. Please do not feel any pressure to attend, or support Natural High, rather, I wanted to introduce you to a special place to us that we feel is making the difference in the lives of our kids. I believe you would come away from this event astounded by what you don’t know about youth drug use and inspired by what you can do to help our kids and others across the country in making the right choices.
Kathy and I are attending and would love to see you there. If you choose to come, please request to sit at our table! (“Dryden” under Group Name)
