[...] A flight training blog following the delivery of a new Cirrus. This is the first of a series of blog entries on the Coast Flight Training and Management School (San Diego) blog. The school president and one if it’s instructors have traveled to Duluth, MN to pick up a brand new Cirrus SR-22 Turbo Perspective to fly it back to San Diego for delivery to one of the schools customers. The entries will follow their progress – which is currently stalled in the snow in northern Minnesota. December? Who’d have thought? I have seen a couple more articles about the trip – by now they should have arrived in San Diego. Merry Christmas to them… [...]

1. XM Weather, communication with ATC, Flight service stations, etc, Autopilot to help stay on desired course & atlitude, Traffic warning, Terrain warning, moving map, GPS, ATIS via the MFD "nearest" page as well as through the radios.

2. HIWAS, FSS 122.2, EFAS 122.0 Have them memorized and ATIS for the nearest reporting airport found on the MFD "Nearest" screen and look at airport info page to see all frequencies used by the nearest airport.

3. ATC could provide vectors to assist in staying away from trouble and away from the bad parts of the storm.

4. From the where I am indicated to be at on the screen, I would continue. The worst looks to be behind and covering KSBA so returning looks to be the worse decision.

"The pilot of the towplane and two occupants of the SR20 were fatally injured, while the glider, with three on-board, was able to release and glide to a safe landing at the Boulder airport."
How much is it possible?

I congratulate you for being able to help your son follow his dreams! I'm sure he will be a great aviator like his father. I can't wait to see you both flying together not only as a pilot but as father and son making dreams a reality!

May God Bless Rodrigo in his new journey!
With Love,
Yolanda

Veterans deserved to have a Happy Veterans Day because they take the risk to save the people's lives. They fought against the conqueror and brought back the freedom. As we all know the lives of a Veterans are not easy. Let's give honor to them and let us salute them for their courage and patriotism to our country.
