Cirrus Recurrent Training & Advanced Cirrus Training

Cirrus aircraft have more technology and safety features than any aircraft in production today, and the pilot must be prepared to take advantage of these unique features in order for them to be effective. Coast implements a factory syllabus called “The Learning Plan.”

Cirrus Recurrent Training & Advanced Cirrus Training

As a Cirrus pilot, you are on the forefront of aviation, and you want to keep it that way. It can be easy to fall back into old habits, relying on the aircraft’s systems. This is why Cirrus has developed three courses in order to help keep you current after your Cirrus transition, also known as “The Learning Plan.”

90 Days

The 90-day skill refresher course covers flight training that focuses on the skills required to fly the aircraft, using manual controls, and refine skills used to effectively operate automation in the aircraft.

6 Months

The advanced Cirrus experience should be completed 6 months after the Cirrus transition. It covers advanced system abnormalities and emergencies, aircraft management and single pilot decision making.

12 Months

The annual proficiency training course should be completed 12 months after the Cirrus transition, is a full day of training that will qualify as your biennial flight review or can count as your Instrument Proficiency Check.
