As a secondary alternative to Coast Flight’s ACT Program, we have several Bridge Programs available. They are meant to assist with time building from your CFI Certification to ATP Qualifications. These programs include different incentives and benefits for enrollment. Below describes the main differences between the Airline Bridge Programs. Please note, the ACT Program is an enhanced bridge program only offered through Coast Flight Training and SkyWest Airlines.

SkyWest Pilot Cadet Program

Coast Flight has partnered with SkyWest Airlines to offer conditional employment to students before they even begin their flight training. ACT is the first flight training program in the country able to make such an offer, making it one of the smartest ways to launch a career in aviation. The SkyWest Pilot Cadet Program is meant to bridge the gap between completion of CFI certification and building flight time for ATP qualifications. Once you reach the CFI level you will receive the following benefits:

Envoy is currently undergoing a fleet renewal, taking delivery now of 40 new 76-seat Embraer 175 aircraft, with options for up to 90 more. Along with our flow-through to American, this fleet expansion means a faster path to upgrade from First Officer to Captain.

Through our seniority-based flow-through program, new hire pilots at Envoy are project to flow in just over five years to American Airlines, the largest airline in the world with the highest-paid pilots operating the youngest fleet among the U.S. legacy carriers, with no additional interview required.

  • Upon completion of your Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate, you are eligible to become a Cadet Instructor which allows you to receive:
    • Up to $5,000 in partial tuition reimbursement paid to you as you build time
    • Cadet Instructor placement, if required, at a partner university, college and flight academy
    • At select partner schools, employee benefits including:
      • Employee travel privileges for you and your immediate family on American Airlines and American Eagle flights
      • Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage
      • 401(k) retirement with company match contributions
      • Paid vacation and sick time accrual
  • Upon reaching ATP/R-ATP minimum flight experience requirements, Envoy will pay for the ATP-CTP course (valued at $5,000) for qualified candidates needing to complete the ATP written exam prior to new hire training
    • Hotel accommodations and ground transportation during the ATP-CTP course will be provided
  • Cadets successfully completing the ATP-CTP course and written exam will be placed into the next available new hire class at Envoy upon reaching minimums, with no additional interview required
    • Receive an additional $6,000 tuition reimbursement paid in full on the first day of new-hire First Officer class
